Ultrasound is a non-ionising imaging method that uses sound waves to produce images of structures within the body.

Some of the specialized CT scan examinations performed in IUDMC include:

• ARTERIOVENOUS DUPLEX SCAN
  An AV duplex scan is a diagnostic test that evaluates blood flow in the arteries
  and veins of the arms or legs using Doppler and B-mode ultrasound techniques
  commonly used to diagnose conditions like deep vein thrombosis (DVT),
  peripheral artery disease (PAD) and varicose veins.
  
  
• ELASTOGRAPHY
  Elastogrpahy is a medical imaging technique that measures tissue stiffness under mechanical stress, aiding in diagnosing conditions like liver fibrosis, breast lesions and prostate cancer.
