Navigating Your Care Journey: Essential Information for Patients and Families
Your valuables are your own responsibility. The hospital will not be liable for any loss or damage of your belongings.
We advise you not entertain people you do not know. You may report to the security officers/nurse on duty (NOD) any suspicious people or events that you may encounter.
The hospital is open for admission twenty-four (24) hours a day. As you seek consultation or admission, our Emergency Department (ER) staffs are here to attend to your needs. You may be admitted only with the advice of your physician and during emergency cases.
Our admitting clerk will assist you and your patient in the admitting process such as: filling-up the admission form, presenting the room catalogues to assist you on your room preference, and providing the Philhealth forms to be accomplished by the member or a qualified dependent. We advise you to accomplish the Philhealth forms and forward them to Medical Records Section within twenty-four (24) hours for verification.
The hospital is strictly implementing the “NO REQUIREMENTS – NO DEDUCTION POLICY”.
For patient who will undergo major operation, for ICU and isolation our Admitting clerk will advise you to proceed to our cashier and social worker to discuss the possible hospital bill you will incur during your admission. We encourage you to always update your hospital bill at our Cashier Section.
The standard waiting time for you to be transferred from ER to your preferred room is 1-2 hours depending to the availability of room. You will be given your room kit (T.V remote and watcher’s ID) upon admission and must be surrendered upon discharge.
Visitors are allowed to see their patient from 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM only. Only Two (2) visitors are allowed in Private Rooms and One (1) visitor in ward areas. Other visitors are advised to wait in the hospital lobby. The Security Officers will provide Visitor’s ID upon entering the hospital premises. We encourage every visitor to wear the ID provided at all times and surrender it after the visit.
Children Eight (8) years old and below are not allowed to enter the hospital. The hospital prohibits the entry of visitors under the influence of liquor and drugs.
Loss of visitor’s ID will be charged One Hundred (Php 100.00) Pesos.
(DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, VISITING POLICY DEPEND ON THE STRATIFIED COVID-19 GUIDELINES ACCORDING TO ALERT LEVEL SYSTEM) – FULLY VACCINATED COMPANION AND VISITORS ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER THE HOSPITAL, NON VACCINATED INDIVIDUALS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ANTIGEN RESULT.
Firearms and deadly weapons must be surrendered to the Security Officer upon entry for safekeeping.
Your room/ward is provided with Three (3) trash bin for Biodegradable, Non-Biodegradable and infectious wastes. The hospital strictly implements the Proper Waste Disposal and Segregation Policy. Kindly segregate you waste properly.
Patients in the hospital need time to rest, to regains strength and to get well. Thus, IUDMC allows only Two (2) watchers in private rooms and One (1) watcher in ward areas to ensure a peaceful and orderly environment.
The hospital prohibits smoking/vaping inside and within fifty (50) meters from the building and it’s perimeter. Anyone who violates the City Ordinance on Smoking/Vaping shall incur corresponding penalties.
Your doctors will advise you of your discharge. Kindly wait until they give the final disposition order. Your final bill and clearance will be process after their rounds. The Billing Section Officer will notify you regarding your bill. Please present your official Receipt and Clearance to your Nurse on Duty (NOD) and Security Officer before leaving your room and the hospital.
Major CREDIT CARDS are honored upon verification and approval of Billing and Cashier Section officer.
