Some of the commonly performed examinations performed in IUDMC include:

  • 2D ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
A 2D echo is a non-invasive imaging test that uses ultrasound to create detailed images of the heart’s including the chambers, valves and major blood vessels. It allows healthcare providers to assess heart size and function, detect abnormalities and evaluate blood flow. It is used to diagnose and monitor heart conditions.

  • STRESS TEST
A stress test is a diagnostic procedure that assesses heart function during physical activity. It involves walking on a treadmill monitoring heart rate, blood pressure and ECG. The test can help diagnose conditions like coronary artery disease, evaluate heart medication effectiveness, determine safe exercise levels and assess cardiovascular fitness.

  • ELECTROCARDIOGRAPHY
ECG is a non-invasive medical test that records the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time. Placed on chest, arms and legs, electrodes detect heartbeats and transmit information to a machine. ECG helps diagnose heart conditions like arrhythmias, heart attacks and structural abnormalities, making it a common tool in cardiology.
