We praise and thank God for the gift of the Holy Eucharist, as we gathered this First Friday to honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus—a heart full of mercy, compassion, and healing.
In today’s homily, we were reminded that the Sacred Heart of Jesus is not just a symbol of devotion but an invitation to imitate Christ’s love in our everyday actions. The priest emphasized that “In the midst of the pressures of healthcare work, Jesus invites us to rest in His heart, where peace and strength are found. Only when we care for our own hearts in Christ, can we fully care for others.”
We were challenged to become wounded healers—those who, despite their own burdens, choose to love, serve, and bring hope to the sick and suffering with gentleness and humility.
Let this First Friday renew our mission: to serve not just with our hands, but with hearts like His.
